The Hyperspectral Visualization Environment (HVE) is a unique method for rapid visualization and analysis of large quantities of hyper- and multi-spectral imagery. The graphically-oriented HVE rapidly geo-registers imagery and keys the user to potential targets without requiring the knowledge and skills of a specially-trained spectral analyst. The HVE is being developed for NAVAIR for integration into its targeting system, and it currently supports data from four different sensors. The HVE can be adapted to other targeting, search and rescue, TERCAT, and commercial mineral exploitation applications.
